September Penn is a singer/songwriter and theater performance artist. She co-founded The Power of Song, Inc. with her husband in 2015. She has traveled across the United States and the world speaking and performing with some of the most notable artists and organizations. She recently received a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary with an emphasis on Worship, Theology and the Arts. While at Fuller, September served Chapel and became a Fujimura Fellow. She is the Music Director at Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Koreatown of Los Angeles. As a theater producer/performer she created the production Sounds of the Civil Rights Movement: The Power of Song. She is the wife of Ivan Penn, and mother of Ivy, Isaiah, and Immanuel Penn – the role she loves best.
