What we did

Provided artwork for the cover of Grace College Worship Art's latest EP.

Project Overview

Designed by graphic designer Emily Stichter, "Reclaim Proclaim, Vol. 1" features artwork by Dea Jenkins on its cover. The album's producer, Dr. Wally Brath at Grace College, invited Dea to share an art piece early 2022, and Dea chose "Aridity Conspired with Erosion". "Aridity Conspired with Erosion" is a mixed-media piece made with watercolor, handmade pastel paper, acrylic medium, and ink.

About "Reclaim Proclaim, Vol. 1"

"The songs began in our worship theology courses - thinking through the church calendar, finding Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs that would work as sung responses in different parts of the liturgy. The project title, Reclaim/Proclaim comes from the idea of reaching back into church history to find hidden gems and declaring timeless truths in a fresh way." - @gc_worship_arts

"Dea did amazing work at coordinating Lenten Gestures.  The reflections and art were not only high quality but reflected a commitment to seize the shifting historical moment that we face."

Juan Sarmiento
Executive presbyter, Presbytery of San Fernando valley

"I am sooo excited to know there are other Christians incorporating movement into their spiritual practices. I think many people are interested in exploring this, but church leaders often hesitate. "
