What we did

Curation of the 2021 "Where We Have Been & Where We Hope to Be" (WWHB) exhibition hosted by Irenic Projects at Missiongathering Pasadena.

Project Overview

This exhibition emerged from the 2021 Inbreak Residency. The featured artist, Liberty Worth, created a project that offered participants and viewers an opportunity to explore personal narratives around race. Dea Studios provided curation services for the exhibition and accompanying events, including the opening and closing receptions.

"Dea did amazing work at coordinating Lenten Gestures.  The reflections and art were not only high quality but reflected a commitment to seize the shifting historical moment that we face."

Juan Sarmiento
Executive presbyter, Presbytery of San Fernando valley

"I am sooo excited to know there are other Christians incorporating movement into their spiritual practices. I think many people are interested in exploring this, but church leaders often hesitate. "
